The 2 Days Murchison Falls Safari takes you for Game viewing, boat cruise and a visit to the worlds strongest falls, the murchison falls. During this tour expect to see some of the big five (Lions, Buffaloes, Elephants, elusive leopard) and other wildlife such as the Giraffes, Hippos, Waterbucks, Jackson hartebeest, Foxes, and several other wildlife species and birds.
Visit Uganda’s largest national park in a thrilling 2 days wildlife encounter. This trip is suitable for budget travelers or those with little time in Uganda but are seeking to savor the wonderful murchison falls national park.
Itinerary
Early in the morning at 7:00am, your guide will pick from your hotel and you will embark on your journey to Murchison falls. Drive through bombo road, pass through luweero town as your guide will narrate to you the historical information about luweero. Continue to Masindi town where you will have lunch preferably at Masindi hotel or court view hotel. After lunch, you will depart from Masindi town driving through the dirt road to Murchison falls national park. It will take you approximately 25 minutes to get to the park. Get cleared at the get as you are ushered to park by playful baboons. Drive thought the grassy savanna to hike the top of the falls. At the top of the falls, you will treated by a beautiful view of the Nile water as it slaps through the tiny gorge, with such an awesome site, beautiful pictures/ photographs are worthy to be taken. Later withdraw from the top of the falls and head for a launch cruise on the Nile getting an opportunity for view several water animals such as the huge Nile crocodile and hippos. Also expect to see elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and bird species such as the herons, king fisher and eagles. Later in the evening head back to you lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Early in the morning have breakfast at 6:00am, your guide will pick you from your lodge at 7:00am and head straight for an early morning game drive ,catch the opportunity to see early risers and hunters before the get back their havens. The park has a boundary separating it into two the southern part and the northern part. The northern part and the southern has higher concentration of wildlife than the southern one. If you happen to be lodging in the south, it still possible to head to the northern park with a ferry to catch the abundance of wildlife. In your game drive, you have the opportunity of viewing lions, zebras, hyenas, antelopes, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, hartebeest, leopards and many more. Close to 11:30 head back your lodge, check out of you lodge and drive to Masindi town, Have your lunch there and head later head back to Kampala. End of safari.
